Welcome to JWPortfolios.comHi and welcome to JWPortfolios.com, a site dedicated to the collected works of me, Jameson W. Parker. The site itself is built on the Drupal Content Management system and the design was done in photoshop. The other really fancy part of the site is the flash portion, which is still under construction and can be viewed by clicking here. The main goal is to have both the flash and the drupal version of this site running side by side pulling the same content. Currently the best example of this functionality is the photos section of the flash site. The Drupal version would then turn into more of a back-end management system or a solution for users who don't have flash installed. It also accommodates for the lack of SEO in flash. All in all it's just a fun little experiment that I try to work on in my free time. So keep your eyes open because I'm going to try and post the ongoing development of this project here at JWPortfolios.com |
Front Page IntegrationThe 'publish to front' and 'sticky' functions built into Drupal's publishing system are now built into the flash interface of this site. Allowing for multiple posts to be seen on the home page of this site. I'm currently working on the scrolling functionality and how I want that to work. Other things that I'll be working on implementing into the site are tags, especially for the photos, and posting comments. |
